Since 'we' advertised a huge gathering on Jan 6th, the Swamp had plenty of time to brainstorm a response. They had two options, the one we already know about. The other option, I have yet to hear being discussed, is that *if* Pence returned the electors to the states, AntiFA was going to storm the Capitol bldg, so that the media could push the 'the American people are taking back thier country from the evil Republican attempt to overthrow the will of the people' -- Probably with physical assaults on republican senators. The Capitol was going to be raided, the 'narrative' of the raid was dependent on Pence.
