It's actually insane that presidents and kings can shitpost threats to one another on twitter. I love trump more than most but it's genuinely unsettling to think this is the norm. It shouldn't be possible that people who can command people to kill can reach out to 100m people at once. What if someone like AOC lost her seat and was just like "yep go kill trump supporters". Like wtf? No one should have this much reach including trump. Trump never said go attack and invade the captial. He just said be loud and be proud basically. The fact that so many people thought he meant storm the capital is nuts.

How can we know who these politicians are, their opinions and their beliefs if we can’t read their own words unfiltered and without the interpretation of PR and press? Can we not trust our elected officials to simply talk anymore? Should we also ban politicians from speaking in public? They just be mute faces that vote secretly behind closed doors. Politicians of course should be able to have free speech just like any other human- held responsible for their words- and have their words displayed for all to determine the intent for themselves ...instead of deleting a tweet with no call for violence and telling us it was indeed secretly cryptically calling for violence -“trust us” - the Censors and the Media... I digress...
