I hate to tell you this, but Rush called Ron Paul a kook and endorsed George W. Bush as a "true Conservative". I've been listening to Rush off and on since 1992, and he's an entertainer. That's it.
Rush was deceived like many of us by Bush. As for Paul, I don't think he was so great.
Rush later discussed the Bush's, and tacitly acknowledged the fact of his deception. In his case, it's because the Bush's personally established a relationship with him (because they knew how influential he was), and he bought the personal charms as legitimate and genuine.
Many of us were at the time, without meeting the man.
But Rush has always known what is true conservativism is, even if he has been duped.
Since 2008, his job got a lot easier as the deep state started caring a lot less about hiding their true intentions. He was with Trump from the moment he came down the escalator to start his campaign, and he correctly called out all the BS along
