No matter what happens we can't let the bullshit break us down. We must improve, we must adapt, we must fight. This battle won't be won unless we're also winning on an individual level.

Exactly. Also not just physically but psychological changes will be amazing too. If you can sit quietly and practice on your breathing when you are stressed and want a smoke, feel your body. If it feels bad man then focus on that. When the body is used to dopamine hits from gratuitous behavior it's hard to recognize that as a motivator for yourself. However I have found that instead of, say, eating something or picking up my phone to check TDW, instead I can just sit on the floor and feel it. Feel the lack of dopamine and how it is causing a lack of ease and comfort that I normally seek. Then I can embrace that lack of dopamine, that icky feeling, and realize that it is good and will pass. It is my body slowing down and healing itself.
