The Capitol storming was too much for him, I think.
Trump isn't perfect. He's been a great POTUS and lead a great movement, but unfortunately at the moment it took the biggest balls, it seems like he doesn't have it in him.
Instead of the Insurrection Act or using his powers, he resorted to crying out for help on Twitter, and ultimately made a video giving up (yet saying he would continue to fight after he's left office) and assisting with the transition to the guy who stole it from him.
Even if he did, the military isn’t going along with IA or martial law.
Sadly, it's likely over
I don't believe there's anyone willing to follow his orders and no one will ever hold them accountable for defying him.
So he really just wasted the last opportunity we had to make arrests...sad
Who did you think he was going to arrest? Under what authority? Who, exactly, was going to arrest whom? Where would anyone arrested be locked up? What did you think the courts would say?
Weeks and weeks of fan fiction make people believe that in the US in 2021 a president can just unilaterally arrest who he wants or simply impose his will. That’s not reality.
I guess I assumed confirmed treason deserved consequences. Silly me
