They definitely started it. All those fucking flash bangs were unnecessary and over-the-top and that is what started stirring the anger. I could not believe how little provocation it took for them to start lobbing CS and pepper gas on us (especially after everything we watched all Summer throughout the country.)
I remarked to another patriot, "the last time I got gassed by my government I was in boot camp". I could not believe how aggressive they were. Then I commented that pretty soon the cops would do the math and retreat inside the building and they did just a few minutes later.
Yeah there was literally no reason for them to be throwing the flash grenades or the gas, it was obvious they were trying to provoke the crowd to escalate things.
Honestly, it made me a little bit (but only a little bit) more sympathetic toward the blm rioters. I heard the accusation multiple times that the police were inciting the violence, and I always thought it was ridiculous. I forgot that the feds are absolute scum. (I say only a little bit more sympathetic because we, as a crowd, did not give in to the incitement.)
One other thing. Anyone else notice the Biblical Wind that blew up everytime they hit us with gas, it made the thousands of Flags fly even higher. It was Biblical
The courtyard to the right? I couldn't believe how many flashbangs they hit us with. Found out the hard way some were like a Flashbang Pepper ball. Orange shit blown all over me, didn't realize till I touched my face. Never had shit like that in my eyes before.
Despite all the punishment Everyone was just standing there taking it! Men & women young and old, even stood with a Soldier in Dress Uniform, his chest covered in ribbons, Vets from every service.
Been a roller coaster ride since. Disowned by my family after. Trashed me all over fucking Facebook.
I'd do it again tomorrow if I could. We did nothing wrong.
