You don't need a reason to dress in what makes you feel pretty, my wife wears nothing but pretty dresses (she is a bargain shopping queen so it costs her less to wear the pretty dresses than it would for jeans & a tshirt/blouse)
It definitely takes an IDGAF what people think attitude lol, and you have to contend with everyone asking "where are you going?" But she has gone to Dollar General in a gown fit for a state dinner just because that's what she had on when i realized we needed to go, lol. She also has to deal with a ton of people stopping to compliment her and sometimes take pictures. My wife always wears a pair of shorts or leggings under her dress so nobody can get a peek.
