I ditched FireFox today after their statement. It's only a matter of time before they choose what you see, or how you see it. If you want to see how easily it can be done, (and have a laugh) just use www.gizoogle.com for a site you know.
We need depulging of search engines and all social media appa that choose to go down this route and bycott all services provided by their parent companies, hit them back where it hurts most

Offgrid it is. I'm about done with these companies. Didn't need internet growing up, don't really need it now.
Switching away from Firefox. Very sad. What do you guys recommend for android browsing given this? The alternatives look like dinosaurs.
brave works pretty good for pc.
if there isn't one for android you might have to fall back to the chrome base. chromium.
the look and feel of either isn't too difficult to redo into something that isn't stupid too.
and spend time with the url "chrome:flags" changing/disabling various things. it's like "about:config" in firefox. all the hidden settings.

Ya brave is way better. I'm 80% switched over to it. Need to get it to 100% but i'm lazy.
It won't make it back on the pc after the next win reinstall for sure tho.
