James Woods has the same issue with Parler. Securitywise, they want your phone number to sign up and a copy of your drivers license to get verified. Yet, somehow there are verified Codemonkey & james woods accounts.
Parler REALLY needs to get a grip on it's validated accounts. They have tons of Donald Trump accounts too that are "validated", but obviously aren't Trump.
If people cannot trust who they're talking to, they're going to get pissed off.
There are a lot of similar little irritations about Parler. The way you navigate the site is pretty garbage as well. It isn't consistent, and it isn't intuitive. For example when you want to view the comments on a post, you can't just click the little comments icon... that only goes to you leaving a comment. Further, you can't just hit the "back" button on your phone... that takes you out of the site completely rather than just backing back to the main stream. Trying to look at replies to a comment from your notifications is a total nightmare and almost impossible.
I really want Parler to be another viable platform, but they really need to get their heads out of their asses and address these glaring shortcomings. NOW is the time when people are looking for viable alternatives to get off Twitter and they need to have their proverbial ducks in a row instead of the current state of apparently having their heads up their asses.
It's bad enough that I'm considering focusing more on Gab.
I'll be honest, I don't mind having two alternatives that both do well... Gab is a bit more of a wild west place, whereas Parler is a bit more curated. I don't mind a site with a bit more curation to allow a better signal to noise ratio. But the problem is that I know it will make Parler the more publicly palatable option, and if people can't use it comfortably because the user interface is garbage, they're just going to go back to Twitter.
I'm not sure how to get Parler to address these problems before it's too late. :(
Ron (codemonkey) thinks parler is a waste of time because they rely on AWS Amazon servers, and Amazon will just pull the plug on them. He also thinks they have other security issues, and he has reached out to them with nobody ever calling him back.

Just a note, before anyone else is tempted to beclown xirselves like this again: nobody honest here is intrinsically hostile toward foreigners; only towards the foreign powers themselves hostile to our rights and freedoms.
He read the big ass manual for dominion and was trying to make sense of it after the election. His tweets have always been against libs. Is he supposed to be batman? Done more for Trump so far then 90% of people on twitter
