Trying to start becoming more privacy oriented. Want to get a VPN, but don't know which one. Thanks.

https://brave.com/ has a built in vpn, and adblock

change your search engine to duckduckgo

Edit: for a standalone, i use hotspot shield, but i only use it for pirating stuff as an extra layer of protection

already downloaded Brave on my devices, using Duck Duck Go, and set up a proton mail.

PIA Seems to be ok been on it 4 years.

I second PIA. Fast, cheap, crypto payment. And as far as i know, they’re one of the only VPNs who truly dont maintain logs and have rebuked requests from law enforcement as well.

I use PIA. Best out there

Nord is best. Totally reliable. Most important thing is that they are independently audited to ensure their software doesn't spy, have backdoors or keep logs.

Only one other does this, and it might actually be Express. But look for one that is independently audited.

https://torrentfreak.com/best-vpn-anonymous-no-logging/ http://anonymous-proxy-servers.net/ https://www.torproject.org/

All are good for clearnet. AirVPN, PrivateInternetAccess, IPredator, and Mullvad are good ones.

I'm testing out ExpressVPN, so far it's fine. $100 for 15 months. I'm on a 30 day trial. I have it on my phone, laptop, and configured it to my router so all devices are hidden. I'm not too computer inclined so this is new to me, but not bad.

I use Express VPN. It has good bandwidth which is why I chose it.

thanks. Better than Nord?

Nord is independently audited to make sure they're truly secure and private.

I like expressVPN, it works great for me! Their chat option for customer service is top notch. I bought a WRT router and flashed it with the software they provide so ALL internet traffic (connected devices wifi/eth) are protected at home. I use the app on my phone for when I'm away.

F-Secure Freedome works where others do not; very small overhead hit.

I’m trying to become more private too but I’ve been told that nothing is completely safe and it’s pretty much useless bc if someone really wants to get your info- they will.

Is that true? Should I even bother with vpn/ tor?
