For my area, I saw restaurants building parklets.

1. The city rented them the parking spaces in a monthly amount that ends up being equal to the amount that would have been collected from parking tolls.
2. Pay someone to build the parklet.

The parklet is ridiculous: going outside to eat inside. There is now another round of lockdowns forcing the restaurants to close the parklets. So end result is the city collected a lot of money.
