They dont want that - they want you to be under their control, to be addicted to their stuff, to be able to preach to you without you being able to escape, to always hold something over your head in order to shape your behavior. They do not want an echo chamber - more importantly, the economics of it depend on pure numbers/eyeballs. Half the impressions means half the revenue.
No... I know for a fact they fucking hate it. How do I know... by how quickly they block you.
I by no means am saying to make it your life mission and spend every waking moment on Twitter. I'd say use is sparingly, but no need to totally abandon it, just in the event you want to stick to a lib one day.
Ive never had a twitter, Facebook or instagram account. I am guilty of apoccasionally shopping at Amazon (10% of purchases), watching youtube (but i did kill the app last night and hope not to visit the website), and I have two Gmail accounts I have to migrate from.
No, deny them your money/clicks/followers. Make their stock crash like you did FOX news ratings. Buy stock. Attend their board meetings. Make a stink there.
It is no fun for libs where you ignore them by leaving twitter, FB, all of those places. They need you for their growth. Hit them in the pocketbook
I don't agree. They want you demoralized and controlled in their virtual prison. a mass exodus A mass exodus is like sending them directly to hell, it will absolutely terrify them.
The places we migrate to will explode in popularity because people naturally want to be free. Twitter, Facebook, et. al. will be revealed as wastelands of nihilism, relativism, narcissism, and despair.
True... I agree, you should cultivate the new sites and spend the vast majority of time there (if you're so inclined to such things). Just saying no need to totally give them peace.
This is pretty much what I was doing for a good while. Some people bitch but I find Gab to be pretty good over all. I never would guess its using a customized version of Mastodon.
I was also using Minds but I've slowed down my posting there for the time being.
Social media is toxic. Better to just leave it entirely.
Jesus, how do people even have time for social media if they are on TDW. This takes up all my time
That's also true, it is very toxic.

I have fake email accounts at yahoo, gmx.com, and was looking into protonemail. I like gmx.com
Nope you were right the first time. Twitter makes money off of you for being on there, they harvest your data. Get out now

I respect the 'War Games' approach.
Not gonna happen, glad I did it. Maybe a burner account in the future, who knows. Now I'm cleansing my soul of that filth.
Good on you for self-reflecting, and owning up to your behavior. Part of me still wishes I kept my account just to troll.
I will not let them go unabated
Why exert any effort just to give them that satisfaction?
To hell with deleting your account, if you're going to leave why not go downs swinging and get yourself banned?
I've been restricted multiple times and banned twice already. This time I just deleted my twitter account to send a better message.
I was here for Trump, I don't need you.
Well I've been banned many times from Twitter.
Only a small portion of the US uses Twitter. Trump and we his followers were a large portion of the active user base.
Leave that toxic hell hole and let them burn. Same goes for Facebook.
It's time to start building up starting with ourselves and our families.
Because bad times are coming economically and agriculturally on a global scale.
Yeah... I'll mainly use Gab.

This site makes no claims to be an unbiased platform. Twitter does (even though we know they're fucking lying scumbag leftists, which is redundant.)
You're overreacting. Nobody got banned for criticizing Trump.
