I learn a lot about myself that way. When two people have different reactions to a similar experience that makes me question why I took the take that I did.
One of my favorite people is a conservative gay dude. He's a total dude. Bearded biker who's into bikers. But he's celibate because he can't find another guy who's just a guy. They're all lefties and fem and he can't stand that. I pray often that he finds love. Oh, and he wants a real commitment, not a hookup. He wants to get married and have something rock solid. Right now he's in despair.

Same here. Living in the city (albeit grew up in the woods), gay, interracial relationship. I've never felt more loved, at home, and cared for than when I'm around fellow Trump supporters. They'll do anything for you. Give you the shirt off of their back. The few bigots I encounter on the right is greatly drowned out by their love, and certainly much better than dealing with the toxic, insane left.
