Yes it happened already. Gab was previously hosted on Microsoft cloud. Leftists convinced Microsoft to purge Gab and suddenly Gab didn't exist whatsoever for about a month while they scrambled to find another host. Then the left refused to stop and Gab ended up having to self host. They are planning to do the exact same thing to Parler now. Many are already calling for AWS to ban Parler.

Amazon is as left wing as Microsoft if not more. Parler will get a sudden purge of their AWS servers one night without warning. Thats my prediction.

I’ve got some cash, but no expertise. How would one go about buying / setting up a server for Patriots? How much are we talking?

Couple thousands per server usually for good hardware. And for a site like Parler, you need dozens of servers, firewalls, network equipment, not to mention the software, licensing, and personnel to configure and support it. Not cheap.

Thats why many use hosting solutions. Because its all packaged together and maintained and supported by another company.

But if you simply want something personal to host, you can have a simple forum hosted on a tiny linux box for a few hundred. You'd have to set it up yourself and load software and configure it. Lot of people go that route if you want something private.

Is anyone starting a conservative host I can invest IRL? I didn’t storm the capitol, this is where I make my impact.

Wow, I guess the plus side is the timing. They have been able to build up their infrastructure by now. Maybe they can help Parler do the same.

Yes they have been 100% independent for couple years now. But they are always strapped for cash. Andrew Torba (Gab CEO) I think had a meeting with Trump about the situation. Hopefully he can make some connections to bring in some funding.
