I re-read it a couple of months ago (last read in high school which was an eon ago) - it's amazing (scary) how much it resembles our current reality

We had the choice of reading this or Animal Farm as part of our required reading in Literature class. Is this even allowed in a school library any longer?

I also re-read Animal Farm around the same time (in fact I think before 1984) - both very appropriate for now. I'd bet money they no longer read that. They are probably reading "Anitracist Baby" in high schools now......

Animal Farm has stuck with me throughout my long life. There has never been a time that elected "officials" didn't see themselves as more equal.
