The Republican party has turned on us. They've always been a problem, but when we finally had a candidate worth supporting they avoided it at every opportunity they thought they could get away with it. There are many democrats who are also looking for a new home as evidenced by the Walk Away Movement.

I'd like to start laying the actual groundwork for a new political party. I've started working on a platform that I'd like feedback on. Upvote it if you think it's good. Tell me what you like. Downvote if you don't like it, but please tell me what you don't like. I don't think I speak for everyone, but I want to get the ball rolling and get something official on the books before we lose more time. Elections will be here before we know it. We need to organize NOW. Don't let apathy set in and everyone forgive the Republicans, because 3rd parties never work. We have to make the Republicans pay.

I know there is a lot of talk about the Patriot Party. I'm somewhat aware, but I haven't seen anything official so maybe I'm wasting my time. However, historically the Patriot Party was oddly enough a communist organization in the 60's to 80's which I think is a problem. I'm currently leaning towards the America First Liberty Party.

If you look this over, approve for the most part, and would like to be involved in helping to develop this movement through legal, tech or other assistance please let me know.

Here is what I have so far:

Patriotism is a Sacred Duty for a Citizen - The Founding Fathers were geniuses regardless of their flaws. They created a system of government that allowed the most freedom and upward mobility ever in existence. Our country has flaws, but our Constitution laid out the best system of government ever in existence. The Bill of Rights is more important today than when it was written and will only ever increase in importance over time. Liberty and the inherent individual responsibility associated with it have driven great innovations and provided a destination for freedom recognized all over the world. This will be a party for those who will FIGHT to uphold these core values.

Election Integrity - Federal Voter ID, no questions, not debatable. Election integrity must be restored. No voting options which eliminate the original ballot, chain of custody, or any supporting documentation. We will have a verifiable, investigable paper trail for all future elections. We will fight to get these laws on the books at every opportunity until approved.

Term Limits - Any representative of this party must advocate for term limits. We realize power is gained through tenure, yet we will push for this for this very reason. We need to eliminate career politicians. House of Representative 5 Terms, Senate 3 Terms, and President remains the same. Our politicians are out of touch with working Americans and this must change.

Pay Raises - Any raise that is voted for cannot take place until a time period elapses covering re-election for every representative voting for it.

Pro-American Worker Trade - We will advocate for tariffs that keep American companies competitive with countries which have slave wages. We will also advocate for favorable tax benefits for corporations that maintain manufacturing in the United States. We will advocate to return to the United States and protect all industries related to national security such as medication and medical equipment, steel production, and any technology related to government or military function. We will raise wages through the elimination of illegal immigration and the importation of workers who offer nothing to our country beyond menial labor unless our unemployment rate is below 3%. This may create initial labor shortages, but it is a pain that is necessary to get Americans working and making living wages again through competition, not legislation.

Military - We will maintain the greatest military and provide for offensive and defensive capabilities so great​ that no country will dare to invite open conflict. We will have peace through power. We will end the never ending foreign wars and no longer engage in regime changes or foreign wars that do not affect us. When we do need to exert force it will be with incredible lethality to accomplish the needed objective and then we will leave. They can rebuild themselves. We will no longer police the world unless it directly benefits the citizens of the United States.

Immigration - We will build the wall. However, we will evaluate our outdated immigration policies. We will cap immigration rates from all countries based on value to our society such as providing needed workers, increasing existing productive citizen families' support structure by allowing direct family members to immigrate who will provide an immediate tangible benefit to that family, or other verifiable benefit to our country. We will work to find solutions to the current population of illegal immigrants in our country that do not include sending them back unless they have committed a crime as long as they report themselves to the government, work, pay taxes, and begin the process of becoming a legal resident. However, the flow of illegal immigration will be shut down and we will impose penalties on countries which do not cooperate with stopping this flow. This will be the only compromise.

Plain English, Simplified, Specific Laws - We will never introduce or vote to approve any law that has pork added to it or has more pages that what can be reasonably read before voting. Each candidate of this party will make an oath to filibuster any such law that violates this concept by reading every page of the law. We will no longer allow extortion of American citizens through the addition of unrelated items to a law.

End the War on Drugs - The war on drugs has not worked. We are in the grips of a true crisis due to opioid and other dangerous drug addictions. We will work to reduce penalties for minor drug offenses and provide research into treatments to eliminate dependencies. Medical institutionalization will be used instead of actual imprisonment with violent criminals.

Equal Opportunity and Protection for ALL - No law will be introduced or voted to approve which advocates for any advantage or disadvantage of any group of people based on race, religion, sex, national origin, or sexual orientation. The United States is a meritocracy and will allow opportunities to those most qualified. We will also advocate to remove any laws that violate this concept.
