As someone far removed from Europe I never really understood why the IRA did what they did, as in movies they were just 'bad guys doing terrible things'
While I still don't agree with the tactics I have heard about them, I do now understand why they felt they had to do such things to be heard.
And I also wonder how much of what I was taught was propaganda from the media covering up motives to make them look worse, as I can now see how false narratives can be spread to a population from a small group in order to control public discourse.
They are hardcore liberals and globalists.
They bombed my home town when I was a kid.
They are nothing like American patriots. A lot of it was about denying Protestants in Ireland their rightful existance. Now they want to let in refugees.
