Herschel Grynszpan assassinated Nazi Diplomat Ernst vom Rath, which gave the Nazis the excuse to eliminate the Jews from Germany, to make it Judenrein. This event led to the Kristallnacht, “The Night of the Broken Glass.” Then the Holocaust, millions dead.

Leonid Nikolaev assassinated Sergei Kirov the head of the Leningrad Branch of the Soviet Political Machine. Nikolaev is thought to have been manipulated by agents of Stalin and Stalin himself to eliminate a political rival. Stalin then used Kirov’s death to eliminate private gun ownership and begin the Great Purge. Which killed millions.
