My house went apple free in 2020 after 30 years of macaddict.
First mac was a 512k. SE30, IICi, 7200, powerbook, imacs/ibooks for kids, many mac minis.
I never bought anything after SJ died.
I was never a TC fan but it wasn't a political decision to retire these machines.
Macs are great if you keep all your data on the machine or have ALL apple tech on network. Mixed networks with Win/Linux are still problematic.
The Finder is and always has been an abomination.
Not a huge fan of Android but at least you can side load apps. Gab is prototyping a google free open source phone. Way interested in this.
