I live in the Metro Detroit area (about and hour outside of Toledo, Ohio) and all restaurants are closed. Everyone walks around with masks and quite frankly, they are frightened. Today my Fiance and I decided to drive down to Ohio for a night out at a steak house. Damn were we surprised. It felt "normal". People were not jumping out of the way as you walked in their path and they were super polite.
In reality, Gretchen Whitmer is outsourcing Michigan's restaurant industry to Ohio and Indiana. We drove down there and spent our money paying Ohio state taxes. What an idiot this woman is.
BTW we made it home safe. Who would have thought??? Gretchen has our community scared to their teeth, it's frightening what she is doing.
Hi! Ex Michgander Here that still has Friends In Michigan. I also Worked in Michigan until the end Of 2019. 2020 Was a knew ball of wax. Anyways, To my point. I live in Ohio now. a City called Troy. (dont care about Doxing) Its North of Dayton. Best thing I ever Did was to move out of Michigan. People are Nice as Hell here and The Bars are Friendly etc. Restaurants are Open, some fast food are only doing window but all sit downs Are full going. I went to a Chain Bar near me and No Masks at all. A few stuupid rules they follow as not to Have the State come down on them. Trust Me Its waaaaay Better in Ohio than Michigan.
Michigan People have a shitty attitude. I did also. Until I got around very Nice people and then it Rubs Off. My Michigan Buddy is trying to move to Tenn. My other Buddy Moved to Florida. My Brother Moved to Florida. Everyone is sick of Michigan.
That is the exact experience I had with the people there too. Super friendly and nice. I really enjoyed it there. I am for the business deciding the rules they want and such. Not the government forcing people to do things and businesses to shut down. That is what pisses me off. I honestly have been depressed and pissed here with the shit that is going on. It felt so nice to have a sense of normalcy for the brief time we were there.
