Make sure that it's sold directly by Amazon or another evil corporation and not just an indie, domestic merchant.

Wow. What a bunch morons[AWS] Whatever just get another hosting service.

Libs think they are the center of the universe.

This should hurt AWS. Why would I build on infrastructure that makes whimsical political decisions? You can't build on AWS anymore. There's no business case where the risk is worth it.

Gab and Parler should ban together as a big middle finger.

Yeah Torba and Bongino would be a killer pair. And if they brought in Alex Jones with his Banned.video site, it could be a huge alliance.

The left does not know when to stop. Just like Pelosi, they want it all and want it all NOW.

Amazon, this might look like the cool thing to do, but you are destroying your brand.

Why would anyone use AWS when you just showed you can't be relied upon?

Sure, maybe it's conservatives now...but who will be next?

"We prepared for events like this by never relying on amazons proprietary infrastructure and building bare metal products"

"There is a possibility Parler will be unavailable on the internet for up to a week as we rebuild from scratch"

In other words, they relied on Amazon's proprietary infrastructure instead of building a bare metal product and had never even considered what they'd do if this happened.

Stevie Wonder could have seen this coming. Next they're going to be like "Ooops, some rogue Amazon AWS employee stole our phone number database, sucks lol"

Parler has a lot of people offering them hosting? I think we should know their names, so that we know who those are who people could do business with!

A as sign of unity between patriot companies the CEO of gap should offer their hosting services to Parler. healthy competition is American. those two platforms would dominate very soon.

2
CaptainButthurt [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

That would be cool. A joint venture between the two would be unstoppable.

"We prepared for this event" by needing a week of downtime.

That's like "I kept my guns in a China owned gun safe that I had no control over but I prepared for this by buying a new gun a week after I couldn't get into the safe any longer."

Gab took months to fully restore their servers. All that data is massive. Parler is going offline for a lot more than a week. And when it does come back online, expect almost all previous data to be missing for weeks while they restore it.

Well, he did claim that they've been preparing for this, and frankly, unless they're complete fools, then they should have been.

We all need to move to Alaska off the grid with a physical real life platform lol
