I have to say, the media still has a grip on the general populace, though I think that is due to big tech keeping them relevant. Without Facebook, Twitter et al pushing their narratives I think they'd go the way of MacDonald's if you took away their advertising.

Yeah some of my "Republican" family members are watching Fox and shit just like, "Well...it kinda sounds like he was inciting violence; he could've worded it differently!" I'm just like, really? How the fuck was I born from your genetics? You guys are doctors and accountants. No wonder this shit happened under their generation's watch. They're just moving on their merry way with buying stocks for the new administration, thinking they can outrun the system, ignoring the fact that I'll be living in this reality for 50+ more years if I'm lucky (is it really lucky if this shit persists?).

Did Fox actually include the quote, or the clip of him speaking? When I finally saw someone quote him, he said "peacefully" right in the speech!

the bbc use his speech all the time but cut out all the peaceful parts and just show 'we are gonna walk to the capitol' part, then they play rudys 'trial by combat' speech and say 'he was clearly inciting violence' and then they repeat that
