"Cuomo" didn't order the NG. Stop getting conspiratorial. The article says right at the start that they were ordered there by the US National Guard. This was at Trump's behest, as only he can deploy NG into DC or military on US soil (using Insurrection Act). Cuomo merely followed orders from POTUS and did his duty as Governor. Cuomo is a shithead, but this isn't Designated Survivor. The NG doesn't defy the President and invade the US Capital just because their Governor said so.
They cannot send the national Guard in. Only POTUS can invoke National Guard in DC. Its that simple. These are Virginia and Maryland troops. Insurrection Act of 1807 has also been utilized, allowing Trump to deploy military in missions on US soil. That includes NG and regular military. Stop Dooming.
6500 national guard are deployed to stay there until inaguration.

Trump is the only one that can authorize the deployment of troops to DC.. Trump can federalize any NG unit in any state for missions anywhere.
