I thought I saw a post on here a couple days ago saying Pence approved the deployment, causing people to speculate that the 25th Amendment had been invoked?
The DC national guard is under the command of the Secretary of the Army. If the national guard is there it's because the whitehouse wants them to be.

THAT many ground troops for a guy who can hop in a plane and be far away from DC within seconds? That theory doesn't pass the sniff test.
