Apple prompted me to allow an update tonight while I’ll be sleeping. Had to manually disable auto-install for software updates about an hour ago when it popped up. Please keep spreading your message.
I’ve had auto updates disabled for years because I used to have strict data caps and would charge me per MB if I went over the limit. I’ve always had to go into general > software updates to update
Just checked now and it was set to automatic. I’ve disabled it again but will definitely check again in the morning.
I suggest that everyone with an iPhone check now just to be sure.
And apple is doing an update that will shut off emergency broadcast system off , turn auto update off
