Are there market alternatives to CloudFlare?

I'm worried that there may be other bottlenecks, breaker switches, and pressure points they can squeeze to delete or remove websites, domains, servers, and silence free speech on the internet.

Yes, many. However Cloudflare bends the laws on the good/fast/cheap rule and hasn't been nearly as fast to bend the knee as other major providers.

To put it in perspective, they protect Alex Jones's banned.video and The Pirate Bay's sites. The company stance on free speech goes right up to the CEO.

They should not be the only shield, but they have been proven to be unusually stalwart in a land of backstabbers.

Cloudflare is unique in that they are a free offering for basic functionality... I'm not aware of any competing service that offers the same suite of services for free.

But there are several paid alternatives.

Cloudfront (amazon.. lol)

But after that I would say the biggest ones are Akami, CacheFly, Fastly. Probably a few others I am forgetting.
