To address the concerns over whether we hand information to third parties:

No, we have never handed any information to a third party. We also do not store raw IP addresses and the email addresses that we store are hashed, like passwords.

While we do receive requests, to date we have not given out any information.

You claim not to store raw IPs but TD.Wโ€™s Privacy Policy at the bottom of the website states the following:

thedonald.win logs the latest IP address for logged in users, which is overwritten each time the IP address changes. Additionally, we log data on all media uploads which include internet protocol (IP) addresses and browser type.

Whatโ€™s the difference?

The policy is wrong.

Also they say โ€˜requestsโ€™ which is voluntary . What about legal orders and subpoenas?

Who and why?

I would like to do a yearly (or quarterly) summary. I would need to verify the legality before giving any more details.

You could learn from 8kun. Scroll to bottom of homepage. They transparently report all requests etc.

While we do receive requests, to date we have not given out any information.

A good statement to reissue weekly, if possible.

Would you guys be willing to share the requests and who they came from with us?

I am not sure of the legality.

That is a good question. If it was just a request, that is one thing versus a warrant being served.

Either way, protect the site. We need the information shared here.

could you do a request canary. Saying we have not given out any information, and then, once you have been forced to give out information, remove that canary?
