Even if Lin has completely lost it (I lean toward yes but it's irrelevant) many still follow him. Even the secret heads down libertarians that work at Apple. It's not far fetched to assume he has at least one follower who is a product person, a devops person, a software engineer, QA, etc that saw this come through the pipeline and saw Lin as the best avenue to share the info broadly.
