Yeah but there is still a world of non-frothing professionals out there working their 9 to 5s. Apple still has to ostensibly follow US law to operate here. If a company just ignores a National Security Letter gag they are destroyed. How is this any different?

There are more incriminating things they can go down for if word gets out. Besides, they would just make up an excuse that it was an accident or necessary and the establishment would protect them.

And if ballots don’t follow election laws they’re thrown out...I wouldn’t dismiss any possibility of illegality at this point.
