How many of you have actually voted in school board elections? Most people don't go out and vote for their school board. This is why so many schools in very red districts are run by Democrats and usually the school board selects the Superintendent (again a Democrat). These people control your kids' curriculum. This is why you need to educate yourself on local elections and when they are. Even in blue districts, you can get board members who are Republicans elected.

I've seen everybody in my family or friend groups, including myself honestly, do absolutely nothing about getting involved in any sort of local politics or community participation. Going to work, spending time with family and friends, and giving in to indulgences is basically all I've seen and known, except for election times and everyone goes out and votes. Thats the most I've seen anyone involved in maintaining their communities..That and the complaining about the nonsense we've let them create by doing nothing about it...and then complain and just go to bed cuz we have to work in the morning. This is pretty eye opening writing this.
