I must be a genius too because I know that was something that occurred to me last year. (or maybe i just read his tweet and though i thought of it?)
If you'd told me 'Demolition Man' would be just about the most accurate and realistic prediction of the future I'd disregard you as a fool but here we are and yes that is about bang on.
We are also at a point where Roddy Piper's "They Live" is just about bang-on exactly correct and the ending, probably deemed 'lazy' and goofball is now just about exactly what needs to happen.
Fun movie, but way less dystopian take than this timeline. The rough underclass led by Denis Leary is apparently just recalcitrant. Learn the 🐚 🐚 🐚 and get those credits.
