With their bought and payed for politicians in power, they believe they are in position to cement their power. There can be no alternatives and everyone will play nice to maintain the delicate balance that has arose. Why should we be surprised about this though? Every single one of these CEOs and teams have never had to stand up to an authority that had the power to strike them down. They have never had to persevere and stand next to their principals, for what is right.
