Strange socialist hate when you bring this up, you would think they would be proud of their socialist history.

Hitler was a socialist and marxist.

Socialism is good, right?

Socialist, yes. Marxist, no.

Marxism, and most "Communist" ideologies are based on the theory that the State should be based advance the interests of a class, the workers. And that all organs of power in society should be subservient to the State. In practice, the large "communist" States put the power into the hands of the party, theoretically to help "the workers", but higher up in the party someone is, somehow they get the nicer stuff.

Nazism is based on the theory that the State should be based around the interests of a race. Much like communism, it is socialist, authoritarian and totalitarian in the sense that all the organs of power in society should be subservient to the State. The racial aspect gave them the framework to commit acts of genocide against other races.

In either case, you really don't want an all powerful state, because the politicians have absolute power to decide the "enemies of the state". And will utilize all the organs of power to crush anyone who tries to defy them.

I respect the thought and effort in your answer.

I feel that private arms ownership is a good measure of liberty, would you agree?

Please explain the correspondence between Hitler and Stalin about Marx then.

Hilter was playing "Nice doggie, lets split Poland. I don't want to deal with you plus France/Britain." with Stalin.

Stalin was playing "Nice doggie, lets split Poland. I don't want to fight you until we finish the Great Purge" with the Axis.

Neither liked each other. They both knew that they would fight as some point. It's just that Stalin wasn't expecting Operation Barbarossa until after Britain was quelled.

The problem is that you didn't already know. You advocate violence based on something you don't understand.

Do you see the issue with that?

Where did the violence come from?

I thought I'd saw something while I was lurking. My mistake.
