Lets assume Joe Biden will be going into the WH on the 20th, no parade, inauguration virtual or not. There was a huge protest on the 6th. It would only be logical to build barricades and up the military presence on the day he walks into WH. People do not need a parade or inauguration to protest (or storm the WH). Its just Occams razor, the scenario I mentioned requires the least amount of speculation, is the simplest explanation, and is probably right.
Biden has said their won't be a regular inauguration, because of the COOF I think (the catchall excuse now). I think he's holding it in his basement, then calling a lid.
I've been trying to find some live cams to see what going on. Every camera that would point to the setup has been disabled, isn't working, or has been turn up so you can't see the streets. If can find a working live shot they should post it.
