It is worse than that. Boeing is paying about $750M to the government and families of the victims of two plane crashes to avoid PROSECUTIOIN from the DOJ. They are also giving SIGNIFACANT money to airlines because of the fleet of planes that they couldn't use for almost 2 years.
What you WOULD see happen (because Joe will never be president) is Boeing get highly overpriced contracts for new military planes, helicopters, missiles, etc. to make up for the money they are losing. Also, the money going to the airlines is going to offset the money lost by throwing patriots off planes from supporting Trump and denying Trump supporters the right to fly at all. All of this WOULD be done at tax payer expense!
