For Android:

Newpipe and Newpipe Legacy are good, but Google keeps screwing with YT's website so it needs to be regularly updated.

https://newpipe.net

There's also MusicPiped, but I haven't really used it.

Yashlang is also an option. I also have this installed, but I haven't really tried it.

Fdroid has a decent list of open source apps for Android, but they're getting a littkr cucked.

Some of that is why Gdroid came about as an alternate. https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.gdroid.gdroid/

Change the word YouTube in a URL to HookTube. Same content.
