Imagine it being your parents. That’s my reality.

Had that with my parents in law, but that did not hurt as much so it seems.

But I feel you. Hope it will be better someday.

its pure denial. frankly I've never seen so many people in such deep denial before in my entire life. they get angry at you for telling the truth because the truth makes them feel uncomfortable. looking at it from a psychology viewpoint its seen as a coping mechanism. kind of like falling for a scam, the more invested in the false reality people are, the harder they will fight to silence the truth. and the propaganda stations have spent years ingraining a false reality into millions of not billions of minds.

^THIS. My daughter, who is completely red-pilled, spent several days with my liberal son and dIL over Christmas. She tried to have a mild conversation by refuting quite a few things they believe with actual facts. My son (who has a PhD in a science field) got so upset he almost started crying. I told her it was the conflict of his science background that is supposed to be backed up by data crashing into his brainwashed beliefs that aren't factual. He had to concede she was right on several points and this sent him over the edge.

2
Damadhatter 2 points ago +2 / -0

And you stood in the aisle and said "her mother and I" to the science guy who cries?

3
wake_up33 3 points ago +3 / -0

That guy is my son. You can bet there was a civil war in our family when he said he wanted to marry her. It caused so much division that his father and I were treated like crap at the wedding by her and her entire family. I did everything I could to stop him from marrying her, but free will is a thing, and he made his choice. I'm convinced if he only stayed in college long enough to get his bachelor's in engineering he would have made it out unscathed. A PhD requires many years in the brainwashing system. We fight to this day to get his mind back.

Best of luck in your effort friend. As an academic myself I can say that most of these academic types are very insecure people. You basically learn in your phd that the only thing that is truth is what your peers agree upon..... You know because they're the smartest people 🙄

Try a different angle man. Take him hunting or something that encourages his individuality - get him out of the circle jerk world he's in. You can experience freedom outside of politics.

2
wake_up33 2 points ago +2 / -0

I wish. When he got married ha handed my husband back every fishing pole and gun we ever bought him. His wife convinced him that part of his life was over. Was hoping he would have a son to bring those hobbies back, but he has two girls now. We will keep trying all angles we can. If the world keeps heating up our family will be ready to push through difficult times, they may look to us then

2
Damadhatter 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's still in there. People also revert back to their roots as they get older. He sounds like he's still relatively young. I'm guessing early 30 to mid 30s. Keep telling him you just want some father son time. Play the - memories are going to be what I have left as I get older card 😅

2
wake_up33 2 points ago +2 / -0

Good advice and, yep, he's 32. We will never give up on him... no man left behind!!!

If you are angry dont argue. and dont get angry while argueing(?) Stil have friends and argue alot. Wake people up , i was under the influenze of the propaganda, and did not wake up by magic. Friendship is important.Think of the good old days. But hold the line.Remember we are in this shit together!(i am dutch)

13
Altherion 13 points ago +13 / -0

Am Dutch. Many people here have complete faith in the media and governments. I think it's a European trait, the trust in the system.

Also, don't underestimate what you're asking of people. People have to completely break apart their world view and everything they ever believed, and then rebuild it from scratch. That is no simple feat, and it's often easier to denounce your information instead of accepting it as a possible truth.

2
incogneato 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's the same in the USA, fren. It still hasn't dawned on people that the news outlets could be lying to them, manipulating the facts, and withholding information.

And you're right that they'd have to break down their world view and rebuild it. Some just can't do that. They'll remain in denial forever, convinced that we went insane for some reason while they stayed normal.

They'll stay like that right up to the point that they're shipped into hotel quarantine camps "for their safety" and will NEVER understand why we are so stupid and pigheaded that we won't do the same.

We are losing that fast, seen how few people trust getting the vaccine?

Elderly dont want to take it, let the medical workers take it

Medical workers done want to take it, don't want to be the rest group.

Young don't want to take it, think they'll be fine without out.

OhTrumpieOne 12 points ago +12 / -0

You should continue to show the truth BUT you can’t go in hot with satanic pedo baby cannibals. Not saying that you are.

My experience with redpilling: in-laws that voted for Trump and had accepted its over. I started talking about the fraud and possible pathways to victory - while answering all kinds of questions as to why I’m so confident that we win out, I began to hear how “crazy” what I was saying sounded and I acknowledged that with them. But I also kept it mild and positive.

Don’t go in hot - let them be the ones to bring things up. Remember to make your case by asking questions. When they are forced to hear themselves say some of outlandish untruths, it’s a bigger red pill than any educational lecture we can provide.

4
donjongun 4 points ago +4 / -0

Best advice here by far. Delivery can be just as important, if not more, than the facts themselves. Open-ended questions are really good because it allows people to come to their own conclusions in a way too.

4
LowClassConspiracy 4 points ago +4 / -0

That’s where I go wrong. Especially after some wine. Podesta, spirit cooking, pedo wood seem to scare people. They aren’t ready for that if they still believe Charlottesville crap or “Mexicans are murderers”.

3
Qbaby 3 points ago +3 / -0

Great advice. This is the approach I used. Everyone thought I was a tinfoil hat wearing nut and laughed me off for years. But now that they see the fake media, the election fraud (so many examples), the Biden mess and silencing of Trump, their eyes are wide open.

Wean them off of the MSM, too.

Yes, I saw a lecture of that KGB professor whom detected to the US, basically he argues that it is impossible to argue with people whom are BRAINWASHED for years. It has no use and creates more in problems (fascism).

3
EyesInTheHills 3 points ago +3 / -0

There is a way. Find an obvious example where the media lied about something they're an expert on. It can be a lie about something in their field, their community, about people they know, or a part of history upon which they're well studied. Show them, let them condemn it and then ask, "If they could get this wrong then what else have they gotten wrong?"

This is exactly what started me on the path to discovering that the media is full of propaganda and that our government is corrupt.

3
killerbeblue 3 points ago +3 / -0

In their world, yes.... It is normal.

That feeling of loss and pain that you are feeling is a sign of your cognitive abilities. They do not have cognitive abilities. They do not recognize the truth if it's a truth they don't want to recognize. That is one of the biggest differences between both sides.

They're willing to either ignore the pedophilia and corruption, or pretend it doesn't exist... simply because of TDS. TDS, and Pedophilia are the real global pandemic today.

3
Plazma10 3 points ago +3 / -0

So much like this has happened to me. Agree that you have different views, but that you both don't want totalitarianism. They're finally seeing that we agree on the same things - use their fear to herd them onto Signal and get off of the overreach of big tech

I'm sorry you learned, as did we all, that liberals don't have a soul. Most people here have had the same experience. I had to fight mine physically until he passed out. There is an insanity in their eyes. They have replaced religion with social dogma and act as all zealots do - to purge the world of non believers.

Matthew 10 34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn

“‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law— 36 a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’[c] 37 “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.“

You lose nothing beneficial, when such people expose their worth to you... It is sad, but only because you credited them with FAR more than they warrant.

I’ve had the hardest time redpilling my sister but the events that have transpired past few days have made her admit that “ya, this is weird” She hasn’t fully opened up to the ideas I’ve presented but I don’t care, slowly but surely she will. What sent her over the edge wasn’t the bans, she came back w the “it’s a private company” argument. It was AWS pulling Parler.
