With each passing day I also feel like removing myself from the e-society. Seems that the internet only exists to frustrate me now and make my IRL worse.

It’s a shame that, what is possibly the greatest modern invention in history (the internet) has been abused and corrupted in such a way that it’s crippled society to a point that I’m not sure it will ever recover.

Yes, a thousand times yes. I miss the beginnings of the internet and having a personal blog and rolling through the internet grapevine of other people and niches. The magic is gone and society is suffering.

I once posted my art on instagram but then it felt like a chore to post and a duty to reply to empty garden-variety comments like "Love it!!!" since everyone became afraid to speak freely or tell me if something needed work.

Still thankful for this site and all the streamers who have made me feel that sense of community I used to feel in the late-90s/early 2000s internet. In fact you all have helped me find my own voice again.

Expect some withdrawal pains. They hit me hard when I gave up my phone...kinda like quitting smoking. It only lasts a short time though and you'll never look back!
