I emailed the elders of my large church a couple weeks ago telling them to stand up and wake up. It is a good church but passivity and conformity is not what we are called to. Unfortunately, many churches in the US have become complacent and have watered down the Gospel. They have become corporate, run like businesses and presenting a self-help Jesus rather than addressing important truths like sin and righteousness. It isn't surprising really. We have become so comfortable and fought meekly against the slow-drip attacks on the church. There will however, be a Great Awakening!
