So we just dropped amazon today. Anyone have any alternatives they like to use for online shopping? We plan to frequent our local owned stores more often, but there are some items you just can't find.

eBay is / was pretty much always the alternative for Amazon

Definitely eBay. You can filter so that only sellers in the US are shown. It's still hard to tell where stuff is manufactured - most of it is China. The good news, you can always buy used items there, which means China isn't getting the money.

If using e-bay, avoid PayPal. They are worse than Amazon.

Congratulations on dropping Amazon. I use Walmart,Target, Costco, and occasionally Walgreens. And EBay and Zoro! I price shop, which takes more time, but I do find that I am beating Amazon’s prices almost always. Since the plague Amazon has gotten more expensive. I have more time than money. If people want to minimize their Amazon spending but can’t get rid of it, maybe buy a month of Prime every 3 months or just order the minimum for free shipping when you absolutely have to use them. Remember, we all lived without Amazon. We can do it again.

I bought some stickers from a merchant on etsy and didn't see his full marketplace. I was curious after my purchase and he was selling a bunch of TDS merchandise.

We are working on a boycott list for the wiki. Maybe we should track good sources also.

Everything has been infiltrated. Sad reality this seems like the nazi occupation in France. National companies have seen massive earnings from this pandemic so theyll go with whatever will keep them like this longer. I've seen my market ads and everything is regular price milk has gone up a dollar starting Jan.

Direct from vendor? Amazon is helpful to get an idea of what you want, and some idea of the price. But go with local store and/or vendor.

I used to shop for stuff on Amazon, then go to the company website to purchase. Many of them use Amazon to fulfill, but the purchase is made directly to them?
