Its not really about them prepping better. They were in it early. Gab is 4+ years old. They have been under nonstop siege for 2+ years now. Gab is England in WWII. Parler is Brazil. They showed up and threw a party with Bongino passing out free booze, but in the past few days the bombers started flying over head and the party ended suddenly and the U-boats started torpedoing ships in the harbor.(not that Brazil was actually bombed)
Parler isn't going to survive in any meaningful way. By the time they get their shit together they will have had multiple outages and everyone will have moved to the only TRUE free speech site there is Gab. Gab's only problem is can their servers handle the load.
Honestly Gab has a better interface and their people are WAY more creative anyway. Parler is just a mediocre Twitter clone. Gab is an improvement on Twitter. Its only flaw up until now is that most of the people are Jew hating 1488 wackos or at least leftists pretending to be that.
You can edit on Gab. It has way more characters per post. Etc... They actually listen to their users. @a Torba the owner. He posts every day, and not lame shit like @jack. Torba shitposts like us. Only reason I backed off Gab was I hated the people I was talking to. They were mostly Hitler did nothing wrong, the Jews did it people. Even if they are right(and I'm not saying they are) it got old hearing that BS constantly. You add a few million Trumpers, Pepes, and Pedes etc etc. Gab would be awesome like Twitter used to be 3-4 years ago.
That was why I slid off Gab, the neo-nazis and trolls were just rabid and somewhat dominated the conversation. Maybe with a sufficient influx of good Pedes this could work out.
However I have hope that Parler can get back in the fight and together with Gab they can be what we need them to be to break the back of big tech.
I was put off by all the racist stuff a few years ago too. It is not as bad as it was. I think they were targeted with that crap. There are still a few, and I use the block button quickly. It's so much better than Parler.
They are ramping up as fast as they can, but there are so many people going there that it will be a bit before they are ahead of the growth. I am really impressed with how they are handling it though.
It's annoying as hell. Makes it easy for the commies to point at all conservatives and call them racist. But free speech isn't always pretty, and sad to say, I'm going to hang out with the racists if the commies wont let me talk.
