You don’t really need an Amazon Prime account membership and pay them money each month. Pretty much everything is free shipping with or without Prime. And you can always get a free 30 membership, then cancel that on day 29. Here is how.

How to cancel Amazon Prime:

  1. Visit Amazon’s ‘Manage Your Prime Membership’ page by clicking this link.

  2. Hit ‘Update your settings’ under the ‘Manage Membership’ box in the top-right corner.

  3. Select the ‘End Membership’ option.

  4. Amazon will then attempt to keep you around by asking if you’re sure you really want to cancel your Prime membership. It’s up to you to stay strong.

Your Prime membership (whether paid or free) will automatically end when it’s up for renewal, and you won’t be charged for another month.

Good move.

Get this - someone who didn't know me well gave me a gift of prime for Christmas. I didn't want it. Because it was a gift Amazon refused to refund the money to the purchaser.

Anyone who supports Amazon because they save a few dollars may want to consider whether or not Amazon prices will be as low when they are one of the only retailers left.

Support independent owners - buy local.
