The hiding under the seats was political theatre, for the same reason Pelosi calling the pentagon about Trump and his nukes was theatre. The whole point is to paint Trump and his supporters as unhinged so that they can treat us like terrorists.
Did you see the photos of them cowering on the floor?
Did you hear them read their prepared speeches about it when they reconvened just a couple of hours later?
