Again, not in any way comprehensive, but I'd wager most of the people on here that have grown up in the city haven't done at least one of these things, if not more.
I grew up in a tiny Alaskan town far away from where buses even thought of running so it was a way of life to do all of this. When I joned the Army I was amazed at the guys that had never done any shooting, foraging, hunting, fishing, or fighting.
I imagine a good 60% of Americans, if not more, have ZERO idea how to feed themselves or make a place to stay quickly.
I didn't grow up nearly rural as yourself, but by choice, this is the lifestyle we've decided to live. I've gained tons of life experience by hunting and fishing and just living an outdoor life. Probably from 7yrs old till I started working I had a gun in my hand everyday going on some kind of adventure in the woods or on the water. Plus my bro just had a baby and plan on doing the same.
