Where can you get snow in Texas? Wife and I are thinking of moving our family there and have been curious if there is anywhere in the great state of Texas that has 4 proper seasons... we love autumn and winter.

Dude, if you want snow for the most part you have to stay in the northern part. Like Wichita Falls north.

I'm in central Texas, and we're getting the FREAKIEST of snow storms right now. We never get snow, rarely get ice. But today I have an entire blanket of snow covering my entire property. Like 4-6 inches. Been snowing HARD all day. Wild stuff.

Northeast of Austin and it's been a blanket all day. Growing up in WY, I miss it a little. Just 4 days ago, I was running around in shorts and a t-shirt.

About 4 inches here in Round Rock. 4 days ago I was chilling my butt in DC. Good to be home in TX.

I got caught in it on a road trip I just got home from. Stopped to sleep in my car right smack in plains texas and I woke up buried in like 5-7 inches. Had to dig my car out of the parking lot and got stuck halfway in the parkinglot and halfway in the road from all the snow piles up on the ended of the road.

It was kinda usual. I'm not from the area but here in northwest nm we're kinda at the base of the rockies and we get less snow than that. Usually we get so little it melts off in a day or two. Not this year. It snowed and the snow didn't melt for like a week, week and a half.

How is the NW corner of the State?

My fav ski hill gets 300" a year, not sure I could adjust to the heat and scorpions and snakes

Gonna get extremes. Mostly dessert like terrain the farther west you go. Tallest stuff around is shrubs. Nothing to block the wind, so it's cold as shit when it blows and the air feels thinner so it's hot as fuck when the sun is blazing in the summer time.

I've lived just north of houston, around the dallas area, and now central texas. Best climate so far. Most temperate. We miss all the hurricanes and 90% of the ice that hits just north of us.

I'm in Round Rock and I hear you. Chickens are crapping on the porch because the white stuff is scary. Locked them up and all is well. First time in years I got to drive to church in a snow fall. Very cool. heh.

To secede and defend against OWG (One World Government) you're going to want everyone you can get

Here in SE Central Texas, we've got 3 inches on the ground at the moment. Been snowing since 1; still falling.

A big snowfall here is like seeing a long-time friend visiting in from far away: You get together long enough to express appreciation, but it goes away before the old gripes set in and spoil the get-together.

It’s everywhere. Didn’t you know it snows in Texas now because of....... global warming. It’s settled science now. Everything else is debunked.

I just went though from San Antonio, up around abeline area and I stopped to sleep in my car around the western border in plains texas and I woke up under like 7 inches of snow and had to dig my car out of the parkinglot I stopped on just to get back on the road.

I wasn't aware that area of texas could get that much snow tbh. It's about what we get about once a year or so here in northwest nm
