The Downside: people already steal the vegetables I grow when I'm not looking. What happens when they actually NEED them?
The Answer? MY GUNS. Which my family has used for generations to hunt deer. You get a LOT of food from a Deer, plenty to share with the neighbors.
I'm self sufficient, not villainous.
I can also fish, but that's less likely to set up for that there. Like, "What happens when they actually need them? MY ROD." Like, I'm not about to imply that I'd bang any of these people. No single ladies for miles.
We got some extra stuff here for 2 weeks. Either way we win. Biden and the cunts want to lock us down more, and if Trump pulls of the win, we can celebrate and eat like hogs.
Exactly. And I don't even call it "preparation." I call it "Variety." I want rice, I'm gonna make some chili, pasta night, chicken, all the canned vegetables in the world, etc. etc.
And before anyone goes "A ha! What're you gonna do with all that meat when the power goes out!?" I'm gonna put it in one of my empty coolers in my unheated garage in the winter which is the time it is right now, dipshit. And if the temperature does climb, you eat the stuff that can spoil first. And I can fish, and I can hunt, and I can grow things when it gets warm. I come from Italians who own land in the mountains, we do this stuff for fun.
I own my Great Grandfather's home and farm out in the boonies as a kind of weekend retreat and retirement plan. The house was built before they had electricity and it can run that way again.
2-4 years here. Solar panel powered fridge in a place with lots of sunlight. Millions of seeds. Gallons of nutrients. A couple of chickens for eggs. Let the grid fall.
Pretty sure larp, but been trying to keep ~30d in stock since “COVID” first hit. Even if the thing isn’t true, some form of madness very likely no matter what.
Best to have supplies for as long as possible, regardless of what happens. If it is all a LARP, then we're going to look like Weimar Germany, Venezuela or Soviet Ukraine very soon, and a couple of weeks worth of food won't cut it..
I basically live in hurricane alley and I used to laugh at all those expensive emergency kits because I figured you could make your own for so much less money. Then one day I looked closely at the expiration date on the side of the 5 gallon bucket the kits were in: 2045.
The idea behind the professional emergency kits is that they last FOREVER and you just stick them in a closet and forget a bout them for 25 years instead of "panic-buying" every time there's about to be a natural disaster or something.
My deep freeze died back in September and there was no way to get another (reasonably priced) as most places were sold out due to the last run on food, supplies, etc. last summer. Finally found one this weekend and just picked it up. Time to stock up!
We're directly in an annual hurricane path so we're always somewhat prepped. Add to that months of prep and stock turnover for CCP plague (slightly different preps, but not much) and we're basically just topping stuff off right now. 👌
Also make sure you pick up some survival supplies such as saws and matches. Basically anything you can find in the camping section of your local stores will be good. Water filtration is a MUST if you live in more urban areas.
I don't even register on a prepper-o-meter, but since the beginning of wuflu I've been enjoying maintaining a nice wide selection of different forms of bottled sparkling water. Moved between a few companies but have kind of settled on Polar for now. That pile is conveniently almost always enough for 2 for a couple weeks.
Oh and switched to stocking shelf-stable milk, which actually is turning out to be pretty convenient.
I live in a hurricane-tsunami-earthquake-lava and Mazie Hirono zone.
10K gallons of rain catchment. Standby generator fueled and tested. Full freezer. Plenty of non-perishable food (Spam is tasty). Propane grill and Weber kettle. Ham radios with battery back-up. Lots of local farmer and fisherman neighbors.
It makes sense to prepare but in our material preparations, don't forget the spiritual preparations. Make our hearts right before the Lord. Also, I'm thinking it's going to be six months of darkness but that's just me.
I try to keep supplies for a week or two, all the time. Don't believe any of this stuff, but why NOT be forward-thinking?
I been meaning to do that anyway, just have a fun excuse now. Lol

I'd rather be prepared for nothing than unprepared for something!

I just got a pressure canner, you can preserve ground beef, soups, chili, chicken ... Even corned beef & potatoes.

Yes, it's a good practice to get into for all kinds of reason. Weather and natural disasters, for instance.

That’s awesome. I need to get to that level.
Just got in my supplies. Nothing fancy, just a precaution
Obviously, we must all start buying toilet paper in bulk.
LOL

Where was this said?
I think it was Lin Wood.
Yes, and others have been saying similar things for a while, too.
It never hurts to be prepared.
I hate to break it to you, but we're looking are more like 5-10 years, at least.

Me too guys, me too.

You should have a minimum of 30 days supply. Infowars and My Patriot Supply have deals going on right now:

As for ammo... good luck.
Ring up generator rental places and see if there are any big ones available, if not then there might be something going on
Already had it, but bought more. There is no reading of this situation where things don't get a little worse before they get better.
Always a good idea anyway.
Just topped off my 2,000 gallon tank of natural gas for the generator. Not that it's hard.. I just open a valve and let it flow in from the utility.
Try to keep a one years supply of every needful thing.
You should ALWAYS have at least 2 weeks of supplies on hand!
Rice, dried black beans, and spam.

I've been keeping a 2 month supply of food and water since February 2020.

Just normal Big Island Frog life.

So... You live in D.C.?
I remember local Q tard prepping for the take down last summer.
Luckily prepping is never bad so when it turned out to be fake news (Q always is) the supplies could just be used.
yawn. LARP.
