I mean it’s silly of them to even offer that. I’m pretty sure that most of us know what to do when the Chinese military has been invited to occupy US soil.
US soldiers have said they would refuse orders to shoot unarmed Americans, confiscate guns, and other unconstitutional bullshit. So the only solution to do these things is with foreign armed forces, like a UN coalition. This way outsiders can come and do evil things with no repercussions because they live in a different country. US soldiers would never be safe on home soil if they did such things. But French or Chinese soldiers can kill Americans, take their guns, and fly home to friendly neighbors and no fear of being hunted by those they abused.
Police will often call in out of town forces to do difficult jobs because local police won't abuse their neighbors and friends. Maybe they call in state police who live hours away or a different city's police to do the dirty work.
