I just can't believe the Republic has fallen. Our first amendment is gone. Joe Biden is coming for our guns the moment he gets in office. They're purging our people from existence. I fear for President Trump's life moving forward. It's just so much evil to process. The thing that really kills me is the millions of Patriots who gave their lives in past wars to fight communism, evil tyrannical governments, dictators, etc.. What would these Patriots say if they saw what is happening today?
My family came to America 40 years ago to escape communism which was taking over Nicaragua. My grandfather died killing commies with the Contra over there. He is no doubt rolling over in his grave right now. God help us all.
Lately? I've been waking up in despair for years. So frequently that I now barely notice. I just internalize the despair and try to go about my day. Thank God for my even-keeled wife - if I didn't have her support, I'd have checked out a long time ago.
Since the election, despair has been replaced with a new emotion - one I can't quite define. A mix of rage, philosophical thought, humor and an urge to lash out.
