Firstly, I don't have a Twitter account but when loading a new page after visiting a link on Twitter In bottom left of my browser it says briefly 'twitter.syndicate' or something.

Anyone know what this is?

Use brave browser. I almost exclusively use it for TD and links from here, I average 10000 ads and trackers blocked a week

cause twitter has its own analytics [inbound link tracking] from sources. you can disable that using adblocker like ublock origin or use extreme mode in brave browser

My recollection is that Twitter changed its user agreement in December of 2017 to allow for geo tracking of users. It was an issue because it could identify POTUS’s location when he tweeted, which was a considered a security threat.

They also changed it to track across the web. See here. https://mashable.com/2017/11/17/twitter-hate-speech-symbols-december-18/

I use brave browser and it blocks most of that.

The less data they get, the less powerful they become.

Yes, any embedded tweets loaded will get your network address and know it was loaded by thedonald.win. It's part of why Twitter banned screenshots of tweets on their own platform.

Use screenshots, and provide an an archive link.
