A democracy is 2 wolves and a lamb choosing whats for dinner, a republic is a well armed lamb contesting the vote

Whats the point of a Republic if each state is a Democracy? A corrupt city can change a state's election with fraud, they did it in 6 states at least, there goes your Republic.

A good solution would be to give the cities their own electoral votes in proportion to the state population and give the rest of the electoral votes to the rest of the state.

Example:

NY = 29 EV -> NYC = 14 EV, rest of state 15 EV

Simpler solution would be to repeal the 17th amendment. It wouldn't impact the electoral collage but would certainly reshape the Senate.
